Business Continuity
Disaster recovery planning for your business.
Although statistically the probability of a major disaster is remote, the consequences of an occurrence could be catastrophic, both in terms of operational impact and public image. The primary objective of a Business Continuity Plan is to enable an organization to survive a disaster and to reestablish normal business operations. In order to survive, the organization must assure that critical operations can resume normal processing within a reasonable time frame.
GG Group will partner with you to develop a business continuity plan to minimize the duration of a serious disruption to business operations and reduce the complexity of the recovery effort. We'll work to identify the options and select the most cost effective approaches for providing backup operations capability and timely service restoration. Solutions can range from a "cold site" - an offsite location with duplicate servers that need the most up to date backup tapes uploaded into them to handle business operations, or a "hot site" with servers at another location that are continuously being updated with real-time data from your regular servers.

In addition, we can determine the vulnerability to important services in your business facilities and define preventive measures that may be taken to minimize the probability and impact of interruptions by identifying the tolerable downtime and data loss that your organization can absorb. We'll help direct you to make that critical business decision.
Disaster recovery planning does not have a specified timeline, nor is it a project that once completed, you can forget about. An effective recovery plan is a live recovery plan. The plan must be maintained current and tested/exercised regularly.
